Wellspring and the Servant Leadership Center in "The Berkshires" present:
Recovering from Cultural Addiction: From Too Much to Abundant Living

April 30-May 1, 2010

"We cannot hold on to things and enter.

We must put down what we carry, open the door, and then take up only what we need to bring inside."

From Mark Nepo's The Book of Awakening:
Having the Life You Want
By Being Present to the Life You Have

What messages do we consume on a daily basis? What do they say life is about? What do they tell us about ourselves and others? Why is life on our planet fraught with a sense of scarcity in the midst of God's abundance? How do we repair that which seems to be broken? Join us in lively experiences of worship, conversation, deep silence and more as we consider what might help us to recover from our addiction to the culture in which we live.

"Our bodies grow fatter, we're all on diets and our souls meanwhile go wispy and anorexic."

Brian McLaren, Finding Our Way, The Return of the Ancient Practices, p.13
