Creator of all, when tragedy strikes people who were already suffering, it can be hard to find your light. Give us hearts that open fully to the cries of others. Burn in our souls your radical love and abundant generosity, guiding the redistribution of your abundance according to your will. Yes, move us swiftly and wisely in works of compassionate justice.
May we choose to be full partners in healing with our Haitian sisters and brothers - in their time of deep loss and even more desperate need and may your peace prevail as the hard work continues. In the strong name of the vulnerable and compassionate, Jesus. Amen.
